MegaGate Broadband offers medical coverage to employees who work a minimum of 35-hours per week and employees may choose from various coverage levels ranging from employee only to family coverage. New employees will be eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following the date of hire. (Example: An employee hired and begins work on June 15th will be covered as of July 1st.)
MegaGate Broadband offers dental plan to employees who work a minimum of 35-hours per week and, as with medical, employees may choose from various coverage levels ranging from employee only to family coverage. New employees will be eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following the date of hire.
MegaGate Broadband offers life insurance to all full-time employees who work a minimum of 35-hours per week. This also includes AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment). This coverage is provided at no-cost to the employee with premiums paid by the company. New employees will be eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following the date of hire.
MegaGate Broadband offers all full-time employees who work a minimum of 35-hours per week longterm disability benefits equal to 60% of their monthly earnings after 91 days of becoming disabled. The long-term disability plan provides financial protection by paying a portion of an employee’s income while he/she is disabled. New employees will be eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following the date of hire.
After 12-months of employment, Megagate Broadband offers employees the opportunity to participate in a 401(k) savings plan to supplement their retirement income.
A flexible spending account is available to all employees via our current provider, Aflac. Employees may direct a portion of their pay into a flexible spending account, on a pre-tax basis. This can then be used during the benefit plan year for medical and/or dependent care expenses.
All regular, full-time employees who have completed the 3-month orientation period will be eligible for two (2) personal days per anniversary year.
MegaGate Broadband recognizes that everyone needs time away from work to spend with family and friends. Full-time employees accrue, within an anniversary year, one week to three weeks paid vacation based upon tenure with the company. Employees may carry over a maximum of 40-hours of vacation time per anniversary year.
MegaGate Broadband observes holidays ranging from New Year’s Day to Christmas Day and total 10-holidays per calendar year. Employees receive 8-hours of base compensation for holiday pay. Employees, based upon the nature of their position, working on a holiday receive additional compensation for their time worked in addition to holiday pay.
MegaGate Broadband acknowledges that the inability to work because of illness or injury may cause serious economic hardship for the employee. For this reason, MegaGate offers a paid leave (sick time) plan for all full-time employees scheduled to work a minimum of 35-hours per week. Full-time employees are paid leave at a rate of two hours per pay period or a total of six (6) days per anniversary year. Paid leave may be accrued for a total of 30-days maximum.
The Institute for Wellness and Sports Medicine at Wesley Medical Center offers employees of Megagate a group rate discount for the Wellness Center.
All employees, both full-time and part-time, as well as their families are entitled to participate in a program through the Behavioral Healthcare Center at Wesley Medical Center to help employees resolve job-related, personal and/or family issues that may arise from time-to-time. Confidentiality is guaranteed and referrals may be self-referred or direct referred by a supervisor/manager or Human Resources.
MegaGate offers employees other benefits ranging from discounted rates on certain products and services to recognizing an employee’s birthday as a paid holiday for the employee. Supplemental insurances such as cancer and vision may be purchased at open enrollment (or time of hire) through an independent agent.
